Meet the woman behind the largest public library system in North America on March 16th at Verity!  

Bio:

Jane has helped numerous cities’ public libraries create dynamic spaces that deliver diverse and accessible programs, services and, in particular, collections that foster and promote the joy of reading.

During Jane’s tenure as Toronto’s City Librarian, this mandate has been expanded to include an increased focus on programming that broadens the literary and cultural experiences of Torontonians, and provides new opportunities for access to and exploration of the rich themes and ideas that books provide. 

Jane will offer a preview of the library’s upcoming Spring Programming including visits with artists such as photographer Edward Burtynsky, author Austin Clarke, poet George Elliott Clarke and others.
